Day 84- 2 miles

Filed in Marathon Training Posts |I’m switching back to my long runs on Saturday, since the marathon is on a Sunday and that is what the training program suggests (thank you Hal Higdon for planning this all for me!). Today would be a rest day if I was following the Saturday schedule and a 5 miler if I was still following Fridays, so I just ran 2 because I wasn’t sure what to do (and I’m running the 5 mile tomorrow). It was so nice to run two miles, a little boring, but a piece of cake. 2 miles used to be my normal runs before all of this training, and now it isn’t even a warm up. That is just so cool. This hole experience has really taught be that you can change if you want to and learn anything if you try hard enough. I couldn’t run 20 miles, but I patiently (somehow!) taught myself how to do it and worked towards it over the course of 80 days. If you want to learn something or try something – guitar, salsa dancing, speaking a new language, Do it! Just give it the proper time and really focus on it, you will be amazed with the out come.
