Day 79- 4.25 in the RAIN!
By Sarah. Filed in Marathon Training Posts |I’m a little nervous because my right knee and right leg (basically knee to mid-calf on the right) has been throbbing with pain every time I put pressure on it. I didn’t even want to talk about it or say it out loud, for fear that it could be bad, but that’s what a blog is for, writing about everything that is going on, even the scary stuff. I ran 4 miles today though and it didn’t hurt as much as it has been. I’m scared for my 20 miler on Friday but hope that tomorrow will be enough rest time. I took it easy on the 4 miles today too and was trying to save my legs. I’m not sure if it is something pulled/strained or if my legs are just in pain from all the extra running. This is my last long run though, so if I can just get through this..
Running in the freezing rain wasn’t all that spectacular, BUT I did get to try out my new winter running gear! I looked a little crazy I’m sure running through the pouring rain in spandex, a jacket with florescent patches, headband/ear warmer and hood, but I stayed warm and somewhat dry, so it was worth it. Here’s the gear in action:
The next post will most likely be after my 20 miler. Wish me luck!!
